Hello all, I have gone through a bunch of posts hoping to find the solution to my problem. But everyone else is doing something far more complicated. Although I know I could use a switch to manually change polarity.
I am wanting a timed circuit to swap polarity. The timing is not too critical but needs to be between every 2-minutes to swap the polarity. Also would be nice to have a way to protect the out going 27v leads as they are going to be electrodes to have some sort of protection in case they were to touch and short out.
Decide if you want a sliding switch , a toggle switch , rocker switch , or even a spring loaded switch that returns to off when released. If there is a junk car aroun check it for power window switches or electric seat adjusters. Find great deals on eBay for polarity switch and reverse polarity switch.
The following circuit allows a motor (such as a train) to travel in the forward direction until it hits the up limit switch. This sends a pulse to the latching relay to reverse the motor (and ends the short pulse). Auto -Reversing manages polarity mismatches on the reversing track section without manually throwing electrical toggle switches or adding another booster amp peak, amp continuous Auto -reversing control for a single reversing district.
