Msf 60 khz time receiver module

MSF Ferrite Antenna: The MSF signal is broadcast at kHz and a suitable ferrite antenna pre-aligned and LC tuned is best. Find great deals on eBay for msf receiver and dcfreceiver. This is an experimental 60khz direct conversion receiver for reception of the UK MSF Time Signal from Anthorn, Cumbria. The mast array can be seen on the right hand image.

With an additional level matching circuit, the demodulated output signal can be used to directly drive a decoding circuit.

The modules can be adapted to any available transmitter by simply replacing the crystals. Complete WWVB receivers are also available from Ultralink. The MSF radio signal is a dedicated time broadcast that provides an accurate and reliable source of UK civil time , based on the NPL time scale UTC(NPL). It is available hours a day across the whole of the UK and beyond. The signal operates on a frequency of kHz and carries a time and date code that can be received and decoded by a wide range of readily available radio-controlled clocks.

The time reference used by MSF is derived from an atomic clock at the National Physical Laboratory. WWVB MSF JJYAtomic Clock Receiver Module. I wound a large coil and tuned it near kHz , and then found that my monitor was outputting a large 60kHz signal.

So I moved the whole receiver module to my attic floor with a 5V supply. I am wondering though, can I DIRECTLY replace the reciever part here with a commercial “ready made” MSF reciever module ? The signal is transmitted on a low frequency of kHz and consists of a code that constantly tells you the right time and date. The signal comes from a bunch of atomic clocks that are always accurate as you would imagine. The internet can do the same thing but, it’s just not radio.

An MSF Atomic Clock The 60kHz MSF transmission is an accurate time signal controlled by an atomic clock belonging to the National Physical Laboratory. Does an MSF revciever and decoder module spit out the time in serial protocol and the clock mechanism uses this to drive the stepper motor? I was wondering if I could get a standard mechanical clock MSF module and stick an MSF protocl output from the Chronoverter into it somewhere.

The module can be adapted to any available transmitter by simply replacing the crystal. DCFand MSF 60Khz radio time signals - Please note that this range of products has been discontinued. When combined with a ferrite antenna, the receiver module acts as a complete unit for the reception of time code signals.

More information about the time signal transmissions from Rugby can be obtained from the KHz MSF page at the National Physics Laboratory website. The NPL also have an MSF Enthusiasts page with links to other time signal project pages. Swiss Time Systems DCF 77and MSF antenna Radio Receiver The radio time signal recei-vers DCF and MSF receive time information Europe-wide.

MHz to convert the MSF signal to 27. MHz (or alternatively 2– = 2MHz).

The old AM CB radios used 27. With kHz spacing this should mean that MSF should appear channels up on channel 20. However for some reason 27. Switzerland , AM- Receiver chip is a highly sensitive, simple to use AM receiver specially intended to receive time signals in the frequency range from kHz to 1kHz.

TIME SIGNAL RECEIVER MODULE. Hz suitable for receiving US WWVB, British MSF and Japanese JJYtime signal transmissions. The Amodule with 100mm antenna bar is especially suited for WWVB to cover the weak signal areas. This 60kHz atomic wave time receiver module is an exclusive product.

We designed this product in particular for the use with micro controllers in a Operating Voltage range of 1. MSF receiver to operate from mains power, which has led to the project described here.
