The essence of the wiring configuration is for one hot feed wire entering the switch box to be split so that it feeds both switches, which in turn feed hot wires in cables that lead out to two separate light fixtures. However, the actual look of the wiring in the box can vary, depending on where the switches are located along the circuit run. You will have to wire it so that you have one switch line from each pair of lights. So instead of having all four in parallel, you split the four. The neutral wires can feed all of them , it just means that the live side is split.

Have a look on the Wikes website! THere are leaflets you can download. Where abouts are you tho? If in the UK, there is a new bit of legislation in place, you have to be PART P registerd to perform electrical work.

A one way light switch has two terminals which is a common marked as COM or C. The common is for the live wire that supplies the input voltage to the switch. The other terminal is marked as Land is the output to the light fixture. You may want to control two lights with one switch in certain locations around your home, such as the front entrance or a double -bay garage. With some basic tools you can easily do the wiring yourself, whether you are adding a light to an existing light circuit or adding a completely new circuit.

I show how to wire a double switch that operates a light and an exhaust fan. This is in the Chicago area with conduit. I have single pole switches in one box. One switch to a bath light and one switch to the fan. A double gang light switch is designed to fit in a single-gang switch box, yet it offers the capability of controlling two separate circuits.

In order to operate two separate lights , there should be at least one feed in the box and two traveller. Install appropriate electrical boxes for the lights and switches. You can mount the switches side-by-side in a double -gang electrical box or in different locations, each in a single-gang box. The power supply connects to the first light : Connect the white wire from the power supply to the white wire from the light. Connect the black wire from the power supply to the white wire of the cable connected to the switch.

Run your cable from the first light. I attach drawing of the two switches. I've got a working double switch (tested each independently) with LCommon Lconnections, an identified double gauge supply (just Blue and brown) and two double gauge wires (also blue and brown) leading to the lights (also tested and working).

The switch is for working two room lights separately. Most people know what a basic light switch is, and that it has two terminals. A wire that is bare, green, or yellow (or green with a yellow stripe) is the grounding wire , and the white wire is the neutral wire.

In a double light switch setup, you will have multiple wires including one set each light fixture and one set that goes to the breaker box.
